October is Manta Month in Komodo. We need your help to collect as many manta ID photos as possible, and we’ve got some great prizes for the most active MantaWatchers.
To take part, all you need to do is upload your manta photos to http://mantawatch.com/report.
And you have three chances to win some great prizes!
1. Most Mantas – the MantaWatcher who records the highest number of individual mantas in a 24-hour period will win a top of the range Canon S100 camera with underwater housing.
2. Most Photos – the MantaWatcher who submits the greatest number of ID photos during manta month will win a dinner for two voucher for The Lounge bar and restaurant.
3. Top Manta Guide – the dive guide who is tagged on the most manta reports will win a dinner for two voucher for TreeTop bar and restaurant.
Plus, the top two runners-up in each category will win a cool MantaWatch t-shirt.

Competition Rules
1. Manta photos must be taken in and around Komodo National Park, Indonesia during Manta Month 2012 (Sep 24 – Oct 20).
2. In the Most Mantas category, a 24-hour period runs from 12:00am to 11:59pm. The prize will be awarded to the MantaWatcher with the highest daily count of individual mantas.
3. These terms and conditions are the Competition Rules (“Rules”). By entering a Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules.
4. All decisions of MantaWatch Ltd are final in all matters relating to this contest. No correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
5. MantaWatch Ltd reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or the Rules without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside MantaWatch Ltd’s reasonable control. Any changes will be posted on http://mantawatch.com.
6. MantaWatch Ltd reserves the right to interpret these rules and regulations and, if necessary, to amend the rules and/or prizes at its sole discretion and without notice to individual competitors. Any amendments to the rules or changes in prizes may, at MantaWatch Ltd’s discretion, be published online at http://mantawatch.com.
Qualifying Entrants
7. By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. MantaWatch Ltd reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
8. By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that you are legally eligible to enter, aged 18 or over or, if you are under 18, that your parents have consented to your entry into the Competition and these Rules.
9. MantaWatch Ltd reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Rules.
10. In the event that any entrant is disqualified from the Competition, MantaWatch Ltd in its sole discretion may decide whether a replacement should be selected. In this event, any further entrant will be selected on the same criteria as the original entrant and will be subject to these Rules.
Competition Entries
11. Competition entries must be made in the manner and by the closing date specified. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry.
12. The competition is a contest of skill. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this Competition.
13. MantaWatch Ltd cannot accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorised access to Entries, or Entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control.
12. MantaWatch Ltd reserves the right to prohibit an entrant from participating in this contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of this contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or MantaWatch Ltd representatives, or if entrant has or had attempted to submit malicious code, .exe files, or any file that contains malicious code.
Prizes
14. Prize winners will be selected by MantaWatch Ltd within 28 days of the closing date specified.
15. Prize winners will be notified in the manner and within the time specified. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable or failure to reply as specified in the notification (and within the time stated) may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. If more than one prize is awarded only one prize per entrant will be awarded. MantaWatch Ltd reserves the right to publish competition winner(s)’ names and entries.
16. Claims for prizes must be made in the manner and within the time specified. Failure to claim a prize within this time or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
17. Prizes are non—transferable and there will be no cash alternatives or substitutes offered, except at the discretion of the judges. MantaWatch Ltd reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
18. Prizes are awarded at the discretion of MantaWatch Ltd and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant.
19. All taxes, insurances, fees and other expenses (including shipping or carriage of prizes) as the case may be, unless specifically stated, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.
20. MantaWatch Ltd does not, unless we agree this with you, claim any rights of ownership in your Entry. As such, you retain ownership and copyright, although MantaWatch Ltd will be able to use Entries as set out in the Rules, you will also have the right to use your Entry in any way you choose. MantaWatch’s standard Terms of Service apply.
21. Mantawatch Ltd reserves the right to, at its sole discretion, reject, edit, remove or disable access to Entries that appear to be legally or otherwise problematic e.g. infringe the copyright or other intellectual property or privacy rights of others, are defamatory etc. or for any other reason.
22. BY entering this competition you hereby warrant that your Entry and all information submitted by you will not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is libellous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening. MantaWatch Ltd reserves the right, but not the obligation, to screen, filter and/or monitor information provided by you and to edit, refuse to distribute or remove the same.
Liability
23. MantaWatch Ltd cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Competition or as a result of accepting any prize.
24. By entering this competition you agree at all times, to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless MantaWatch Ltd, its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, broadcast affiliates, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents of each, from and against any claims, actions, demands, damages or liabilities of any kind whatsoever (including without limitation, attorney’s fees, court costs, settlement and disbursements) due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, redemption, possession, loss, misdirection, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any contest-related activity or participation in this contest, including any claims relating to use, misappropriation or disclosure of any materials submitted herein.
Data Protection and Publicity
25. Winners may be requested to take part in promotional activity and MantaWatch Ltd reserves the right to use the names and addresses of winners in any publicity both in paper and online. Except where prohibited by law, each winner’s entry or acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for MantaWatch Ltd to use, publish, and display the winner’s submission, name, voice, photograph, and other likeness and/or any biographical information the winner may provide, and any statement the winner may make concerning this contest or the prizes, in any and all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the Internet and/or the World Wide Web, in perpetuity, for promotional and marketing purposes, without notification, review, approval or compensation.
Jurisdiction
26. The Competition and Rules will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England. The Competition is void where prohibited by law.
