Day 20 and the interns experience the cold waters of south Komodo, and hang out with mantas and Komodo dragons
Day 19 and the interns learn about advanced manta research techniques such as satellite tagging and DNA sampling with Conservation International
Day 18 and the interns visit a local elementary school to share their conservation knowledge.
Day 17 and the interns visit SMKN 1 Tourism High School to share their new conservation knowledge with the students
Day 16 and the interns are working hard even though it’s a day off
Day 15 of MIP-2016 and the interns are divided. At sea they record sharks, turtles but no mantas, while in the classroom they are working on education materials
Day 13 of MIP-2016, and the interns are back in the classroom to review personal development goals, process data and finalize communication projects.
Day 12 of MIP-2016 and the Interns learn about social enterprises and market-based conservation from a coral sanctuary and a fish farm.
Day 11 of MIP-2016 and the interns meet reef sharks but no manta rays during their survey dives, before heading back to Labuan Bajo.
