Willy is MantaWatch’s Sustainable Fisheries Assistant. An alumnus of MIP-2017, Willy holds B.Sc. Marine Science and Technology from Bogor Agricultural University. Her undergraduate research focused on the impact of water quality on whale shark distributions in Probolinggo, East Java. Willy is a PADI Advanced Open Water diver. In 2017 she was selected as a delegate for the Climate Action Summit in Albay, Philippines, and in 2016 received the Archipelago Excellence Award from Pattimura University, Ambon for her scientific writing on the subject of macroalgae bioplastic.
