At the start of this day, all of us interns felt so excited. Today was the first day that we would give manta briefings to the tourists.

We separated into two groups. Dita and I joined Wicked Diving, while Haries, Muti and Divo went with Andy onboard Dive Komodo. The first team did survey dives at Mawan, Sebayur Kecil, and Karang Makasar (Manta Point), while the second team went to Sebayur Kecil, Mawan, and Pengah. And we all gave our manta briefings to the guests, explaining the 7 steps to maximise their manta encounters. All of our practice paid off!

We had an unforgettable experience that day. Diving in water that was 23°C. It was so cold!!!

In total we recorded 11 mantas today. I was surprised because at Manta Point we saw zero mantas. But even though we recorded zero, this is still important information for us to known.

After returning to shore, we went to visit Uber Scuba to explain more about MantaWatch Internship Program, and to meet their cute office dog named Cookie.

A tiring day, but we are all full of fun, full of spirit, and full of manta fever.
