Miko is MantaWatch’s Sustainable Tourism Assistant. An alumnus of MIP-2016, Miko holds B.Sc. Marine Science from Bogor Agricultural University. His undergraduate research investigated the spatial and temporal distribution of small pelagic fish in the Banda Sea using hydroacoustic methods. In 2017 he was selected to participate in the Global Approach by Modular Experiment (GAME) project at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, Germany where he investigated the effect of temperature on the feeding rate of key marine herbivores.In 2016 Miko was awarded a bronze medal at the 29th National Student Scientific Week for his work in the field of marine exploration. He is a PADI Advanced Open Water diver.
