Manta Week at the London Aquarium

From March 24 – April 1 2012, the SEA LIFE London Aquarium is celebrating all things manta during Manta Week.

Manta Week offers children an opportunity to learn more about the mantas and the marine environment, with coloring, competitions, origami, quizzes and much more.

At the same time, adults and children alike can see photos of some of the mantas discovered by the Maldivian Manta Ray Project during 2011, and even have a chance to name them.

Manta Week is all about raising awareness of the threats facing manta ray populations worldwide, including the gill-raker trade and bycatch. But the emphasis is firmly on family friendly entertainment!
