October is one of the best times of the year to see mantas in Komodo National Park, Indonesia. During Manta Month this year, we’re on a mission to capture as many manta ID photos as possible.

And we need your help!

From September 29 to October 2 we will be embarking on a manta safari to explore and document some of the densest and remotest manta aggregations in Komodo. Onboard DiveKomodo’s Komodo Adventurer, we’ll be diving with mantas throughout the day. This trip will be all about mantas, mantas, mantas!

We have teamed up with DiveKomodo to offer our regular MantaWatch readers a chance to join this special manta safari.

You’ll have an opportunity to learn about the beautiful and graceful manta ray from our team of MantaWatch experts, including about the growing threats to their conservation and how you can help. Our MantaWatch team will help you dive responsibly and maximise your manta encounters, teach you how to recognize and identify individuals, and how to take the perfect manta ID photo.

This exclusive offer is only available to our readers, and only a limited number of places are available.

Contact us if you’re interested in some amazing manta dives, capturing some great manta photos, and perhaps becoming one of the top MantaWatchers during Manta Month 2012.

MantaMonth in Komodo aims to increase awareness of and participation in manta ray conservation. Our MantaWatch experts will be joined by two young marine scientists from Bandung University , and we’ve got a few surprises for divers who take the most manta photos.
